He Told Me He Would Never Get Back With Me

When my boyfriend broke up with me, I wasn’t completely surprised. For months I had been paranoid that it was coming. I could feel him pulling away. Even though I sensed it happening, the actual breakup still shocked me. My first reaction was to avoid accepting it and start affirming against it immediately.

Eventually I reached a point where I was begging him to reconsider. He was kind about it, but he told me he really didn’t see us getting back together. I tried to keep pretending it wasn’t real. My anxiety got so bad that I started having panic attacks and feeling disconnected from myself.

I kept calling him because I was desperate to hear from him. At some point he stopped responding altogether. Looking back now, I’m honestly embarrassed about how I handled things. I would check when he was online, reread our old messages, and analyze every little thing that had happened between us.

During coaching I learned something that hit me hard. When you are trying to avoid your current emotional state, you’re not actually manifesting from the end. You’re manifesting from fear.

That realization was uncomfortable, but it also explained why nothing had worked for me before.

As we continued working together, I started learning how to calm my nervous system and step into the version of myself who already felt loved and secure, even though nothing in the 3D had changed yet.

Gradually things shifted inside me. I stopped checking my phone every few minutes. I stopped imagining worst case scenarios. I started enjoying my life again in small ways. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was actually changing. I had been afraid that kind of change wasn’t possible for me, but it was happening.

Eventually my SP and I started talking again. At first it was simple messages where he said he was thinking about me and hoped I was doing well. Later he started saying that he missed me.

What surprised me the most was how different the dynamic felt. Before, I had him on a pedestal. Now he felt like an equal. For the first time I caught myself thinking that I had a lot of love to give, and that it was actually something valuable. In the past I was constantly trying to get validation from him. Now I felt capable of simply loving.

Not long after that, he asked if we could meet up. When we talked, he shared that he had spent a lot of time reflecting during the months we were apart. He admitted that he could have been a better boyfriend and that he hadn’t treated me fairly. He told me he had put me in second place and realized that wasn’t right. I told him I was willing to give him another chance.

Sometimes I laugh when I think about that moment. Before, I was the one begging him not to leave. Now I was the one deciding whether I wanted to try again. I never would have imagined he would be asking me to take him back. I’m so grateful I’m not living in that anxious state anymore where another person controls your emotional world.

I’m having a lot of fun with my boyfriend, and it feels good to simply love each other without constantly worrying that everything is about to fall apart.
